Speaker: Roy Kunz, Modestia cum Libertate
87 years ago, on 28 November 1937, the Swiss people rejected the Fonjallaz initiative, which, among other anti-democratic aims, also sought to ban Freemasonry.
How did this petition for a referendum come about and who were the people and political forces behind this socially and politically blatant violation of human rights?
At the time, the Swiss Freemasons fought courageously for the continued existence of their Grand Lodge Alpina and in favour of Swiss association law.
