It demystifies the Order by presenting stories that explore Masonic symbols, rituals and values from a more accessible and less sensationalist perspective.<br \/>\nThe comic strip format, with its mix of text and images, helps to popularise complex concepts and make them understandable to a wide audience, including the uninitiated.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is structured around large explanatory posters on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A history of comics starting with the Genevan <strong>Rodolphe T\u00f6ppfer<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The stages involved in making a comic strip<\/li>\n<li>Some scriptwriters and illustrators: <strong>Hugo Pratt<\/strong>, the teams around <strong>Willy Vassaux<\/strong> and <strong>Didier Convard<\/strong>, <strong>Arnaud de la Croix<\/strong> and <strong>Fran\u00e7ois Morel<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Seven different approaches to Freemasonry in French-language comics, with many examples: furtive, humanist, historical, detective, esoteric, conspiracy and humorous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-17877\" src=\"https:\/\/freimaurermuseum.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Covers.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1389\" height=\"911\" srcset=\"https:\/\/freimaurermuseum.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Covers.png 1389w, https:\/\/freimaurermuseum.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Covers-300x197.png 300w, https:\/\/freimaurermuseum.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Covers-1024x672.png 1024w, https:\/\/freimaurermuseum.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Covers-1320x866.png 1320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1389px) 100vw, 1389px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is rounded off by 40 original comic strips, from <strong><em>Fable de Venise<\/em><\/strong> (1981) to the graphic novel <strong><em>Grand Orient<\/em><\/strong> (2020), as well as masonic humour drawings by <strong>Fran\u00e7ois Morel<\/strong> and <strong>Jiho<\/strong>.
