Swiss Freemason's Guide
Swiss Freemason's Guide, volume I & II (in French)
Volume I - Stories and rites (in French)
Volume II - Diversity of Freemasonry around the world (in French)
This first volume is dedicated to the origin and centuries-long development of Masonic thought. It analyses the spiritual currents and social movements that have influenced it, then describes the various rites practised in the world and provides thoughts on initiation and the masonic secret. Finally, the history of Freemasonry in Switzerland in the 18th and 19th centuries is outlined, as well as the founding of the Grand Lodge, its lodges and its development up to the present day. A bibliography, an index and various illustrations make the book easy to read.
Volume II presents an up-to-date overview of other obediences in Switzerland and around the world, with detailed statistics and an inventory of the many paramaasonic movements. It also presents the complex relationship between the Catholic and Reformed Churches and Freemasonry, and some aspects of anti-Freemasonry.
